Pacman was a popular arcade game through out the United Kingdom, United States & Japan during the 1980s. The game was designed by Namco and was first released on the 22nd of May 1980 in Japan. In December 1981 a song named Pac-Man fever was released and made the US Billboard Chart at #9. It was the fourth arcade game to be released following Pong, Space Invaders & Asteroids. There are 255 levels of Pacman, however due to a software bug the 256th split screen level was never completed. The game is proper addictive due to the fact its like a game of cops & robbers.
